Harvest Fair + Greenspell Open House
What an unbelievable pleasure it is to share about two events coming up that I am honored to be able to contribute to. Well, mostly my wonderful students did all the work, and for that I am quite proud [sheds dramatic & wandering tear in slow motion]...
First up is the Chicago Center for Psychophysical Healing's Herbal Harvest Fair – THIS SUNDAY (October 4th)
This event has contributions from several herbal education organizations in the Chicago area including the aforementioned Chicago Center for Pscyhophysical Healing, Urban Growers Collective, Hello Howard Community Garden, and yours truly here at Greenspell!
Not to mention a lecture from the brilliant herbalist Althea Northage-Orr, who continues to share her decades-deep treasure trove of wisdom and conjure up so many aspiring herbalists to fruition and practice.
There will also be an herbal medicine swap emphasizing trade of our various wares and remedies over outright selling stuff. A nice reminder that that's always an option. There will also be free workshops from the different orgs, including two workshops led by our Year 2: Community Herbalism Intensive Students and a plant walk led by a Greenspell Alum!
Also, this will be the first time that Greenspell's Mutual Aid Group is tabling an event! Please come and see what we've been up to!
Also, the word of the newsletter is apparently 'also', so everybody yell together Peewee's Playhouse Style! AHHHHHHHHHHHH!
If you can make it, RSVP at the link below:
Next up is Greenspell's Annual Open House! – Sunday, October 18th
The Greenspell Annual Open House is an event put on by students in both our Year One and Year Two courses providing our students the opportunity to engage our Chicago community and give back a little bit of what they learned throughout their respective 7-8 month courses.
Through student-led workshops and a sliding-scale apothecary booth, this open house supports our ongoing efforts to provide more accessible herbal remedies and education, empowering community members to engage with herbal medicines and wellness practices to cultivate preventative self-care and abundant aliveness!
Check out our very enticing line-up of student-led workshops (attend for free or pay if you can!) and RSVP at the link below!

That's all for now... hope to mingle with you at one of our upcoming events.
Bubbling over with accumulating social effervescence,
