Nettle & Horsetail Hair Rinse

You can use fresh or dried of either herb, in equal parts, or just use one herb. If using fresh, chop up your herbs and fill any mason jar ⅔-¾ of the way up. If using dried herbs, fill the jar about ⅓-½ of the way up. Pour raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar over the herbs and fill the jar, making sure to cover the herbal material. Label and shake daily for 4-6 weeks. Strain the vinegar.

To use as a hair rinse:

Dilute the vinegar before using. For oily hair, dilute 1 part vinegar with 6 parts water. For dryer hair, dilute with 4 parts water. Leave the diluted herbal vinegar in a jar next to your shower. Shower as you would typically do, bringing in the hair rinse as the last step. Pour the diluted vinegar slowly over your freshly washed and rinsed hair, massaging it into your scalp while avoiding the eyes (keeping them closed helps). Rinse with warm water, and a brief hit of cool water before stepping out and enjoying your shiny and well conditioned hair :)
